He had worked hard, very hard but success eluded him. He had
the dedication, support from his fans all over the globe but somehow, till now
he could not achieve this feat. He maintained calm, had the tenacity and worked
even harder. Finally he succeeded and broke the jinx.
I am talking of none other than Leonardo DiCaprio, who for
the first time in his illustrious career won the Oscars for the Best Actor for his
portrayal of Hugh Glass in the movie "The Revenant" which was also
nominated for the Best Feature Film. Apart from the Best actor the film won the
Best Director and Best Cinematography.
Finally, after six Oscar nominations, Leo took one home. Millions
of fans across the globe are elated for his win. The internet and twitter broke
out in congratulatory messages and memes. Leo is known for his stellar
performances which include movies such as Romeo + Juliet, the epic romantic
drama "Titanic" directed by James Cameron, Gangs of New York, The
Departed, Blood Diamond, Shutter Island, Django Unchained, Inception and many other
movies.
Another highlight of this year's Oscar was the red carpet reunion of
Leo and Kate Winslet which made fans go crazy.
Finally I congratulate one of my favourite actors in
Hollywood, Leonardo DiCaprio for winning an Oscar and may he win many more........
